In 2017, the government of India launched a one-of-a-kind government festival, the MAKING OF DEVELOPED INDIA FESTIVAL or MODI. The festival was launched by then Union Minister of Statistics and Programme Implementation Shri D.V.Sadananda Gowda at Malleswaram, Bengaluru. This government event aimed to inform the public about the Union Government’s accomplishments over the last three years, as well as the numerous government plans and projects, on the occasion of the Central Government’s completion of three years in office. On this occasion, an exhibition was also held reflecting the Union Government’s achievements over the last three years.
Shri Sadananda Gowda stated while releasing a brochure on the Union Government’s achievements during the last three years, that the people of the country have witnessed overall improvement, and the entire world has taken notice. The Prime Minister wishes for elected representatives to go to the people and share the details of their development activities. People’s opinions and recommendations on various initiatives will also be collected through such programmes, adding value to the country’s growth and development.
Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu noted that the Modi-fest was an attempt to realise Modi’s objective of developing India. The administration has pledged to work diligently to eradicate poverty and social problems that are impeding progress. Various development projects and programmes, such as the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), and others, have been implemented throughout the final three years of Modi’s administration. The exhibition had 15 exhibits showcasing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts for various sectors such as digital transactions, insurance for various sectors, pensions, farmers’ welfare, “Mudra” loans, and so on. The Modi government implemented a total of 106 initiatives, starting with insurance for about ₹12. The government’s main interest is people’s safety and protection.
